mom_and_dad_weddingIn 1983 Mark & Judy Pershey began their journey together. One that would shed many hardships that led to the path of compassion and assistance to others less fortunate. From first hand experience, it was learned early on that sometimes suffering comes as the result of no fault of one's own doing. Sometimes an accident or illness can plunge an otherwise stable working family into lack. By sharing the basic human neccesities like food and clothing a community outreach was born.
In April of 2006 Mr. & Mrs. Pershey founded the Grapevine Mission. A public charity providing assistance to neighbors in need.

aunt_dianaV. Diana Holderfield was the first board member to provide the dedication and support needed to plant the vineyard. The Full time working Mother of 3 children, it was a way of life to help those less fortunate. Her light dimmed too soon with her sudden passing of an anurisum at the young age of 49.
It is a goal to establish a college fund in her name in the future. This photo was her last trip playing Santa and delivering gifts to children in need. Sharing her joy was a true gift.

matt_n_meganMatthew & Megan Denman are the backbone to the expansion of the outreach. Matthew is a full time pressman and still devotes countless hours to the cause. Megan is a full time volunteer assisting in the day to day operations within the region. She oversees the organization of the pantry as well as, the volunteers.
Mentoring the youth is the strongest asset these two have to offer. Showing those hurting that there is great hope to be had and encouraging the future generation to care about their community.
When these two joined forces in marriage the unity fordged a great pillar of strength to the outreach.

Mr. Scott & Katie Cravens

Advisory Committee/Board Members

laurel_and_peggyMr. Laurel & Peggy Snodgrass have been amazing partners for the foundational growth of GVM. Life long friends and supporters.
Laurel left for his home in glory this past year and his absence is apparent. Peg is a prayer warrior we love and appreciate. She still honors us with her talents as a retired florist, too.

georgie_and_kayMr. George & Kay Willis have been likewise around since before the establishment. Great wisdom and support of the outreach. George likewise was called home in 2016. He was one of a kind encouragement and Kay continues to express an exceptional measure of love.
